I am honored to have been awarded this prestigious three-year fellowship. Selected through a highly competitive process, this fellowship recognises my academic aptitude, dedication to a clinical academic career, and potential for research development. This opportunity, which includes a run-through training number in Cardiology, allows me to integrate advanced clinical training with research, supporting my growth in both areas and preparing me for future contributions to academic medicine.

Wolfson Foundation Intercalated Degree Research Fellowship

Each year, Medical Schools across the UK are invited to nominate up to three outstanding medical students, each with a quality scientific project for consideration for the national Wolfson Intercalated award. The academic criteria are very high and only students with a consistently high academic performance and a quality project are selected for these awards.


Jean Shanks Foundation

The Jean Shanks Intercalated Degree Scholarship
(The Jean Shanks Foundation, September 2017 - June 2018)
This scholarship is issued to fund a BMSc in Cardiovascular and Diabetes Medicine at the University of Dundee in 2017/2018. One scholarship can be awarded per medical school, with a total of only fifteen scholarships awarded each year on a national basis.

I was privileged to receive the bespoke INSPIRED India/Scotland Exchange Scholarship, which fully funded my medical elective at Dr. Mohan’s Diabetes Specialities Centre in Chennai, India. This renowned institution is a world leader in diabetes research and care. During my elective, I had the unique opportunity to engage with cutting-edge diabetes research and witness firsthand the exceptional clinical practices in a leading diabetes center.
